About

Infrastructure, Campus & Courses The university has two campuses. The campus consists of the very famous Avon Gorge as its residential halls. The new buildings of the campus were designed and built by Ralph Brentnall. The majority of the classes are conducted on the Clifton campus. The campus is flanked to the north by Tyndalls Parks Road and to the south by Park Row and the HH Wills Memorial Building, which has stood at the top of Park Street since 1925, overlooking the city. The Clifton campus has eight of the university's 9 branch libraries, which provide study space, IT support, and the biggest academic collection of books and periodicals in the South West of England. Three study facilities, including Beacon House, which opened in April 2016 and includes flexible study spaces, conference rooms, and a café, provide an extra 3,000 study spaces. WiFi is offered across the campus, and computers are available in academic departments, libraries, and 24-hour study centres. The university provides a number of courses. These courses have been categorized into six faculties - the Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Life Sciences, Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Science, and the Faculty of Law. In addition to these factors, the university is also known for its infrastructural facilities which act as an attractive option for international aspirants. This university also provides international students with the option for on-campus employment opportunities.



History of University Of Bristol

The University of Bristol was founded as University College, Bristol in 1876, and became the University of Bristol in 1909. It was known to be the first higher education institution in the United Kingdom that admitted men and women on an equal basis. Bristol University, like other English universities, grew out of older institutions such as University College, Bristol (established 1876), Bristol Medical School (1833), and the Merchant Venturers' Technical College, which was formed as a school in 1595 and became the university engineering faculty. Bristol University is a top-ranked university located in the UK known for its unique contributions to global research. The university is known for its commendable research in the area of nanotechnology and prevention. Owing to its excellent academic facilities, global connections, and exposure, the University of Bristol Rankings have always been among the top universities of the world. The QS World University Rankings 2022, THE World University Rankings 2022 and US News' Best Global University Rankings 2022 rank the university at #62, #92 and #92 respectively. As per the Complete University Guide's University League Tables 2022 and the Guardian's the best UK universities 2022 – rankings, the university ranks at #17 and #14 respectively.
