The Southern Institute of Technology provides over 250 programmes and New Zealand certifications in a wide range of areas. With campuses in Invercargill, Queenstown, Christchurch, and Gore, the Southern Institute of Technology (SIT) is a government-accredited tertiary provider of NZQA certificate, diploma, bachelor's degree, and postgraduate programmes. SIT2LRN Distance Learning allows students to study certain programmes online. MAINZ – Music and Audio Institute of New Zealand (Auckland & Christchurch) and Telford in Balclutha, South Otago – have specialised faculties in music and rural education.



History of Southern Institute Of Technology

SIT, which was founded in 1971, is well-known for its Zero Fees Program. Students can save thousands of dollars on their tertiary education costs thanks to the scheme, which is open to New Zealand citizens and permanent residents. The excellence of the Institute's facilities and equipment is likewise well-known. The Public New Zealand Tertiary Education Institution (TEI) is affiliated with the university.
