Queen’s University has two campuses. Its main campus is located on roughly 100 acres of land on the southwestern edge of downtown Kingston. University buildings, especially around the edges of the campus, are interspersed with private homes, shops, and hospital buildings. This mixture is an indication of the piecemeal way in which the campus has developed. In April 2021, Queen’s University placed first in Canada and fifth in the world in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings – global rankings of universities that are advancing the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) within and beyond their local communities. QUU offers over 180+ courses. These include Bachelor’s Programs, Certificates, Doctoral Programs, Graduate Diplomas, Juris Doctors, Master’s Program, Doctor Of Medicine And Postgraduate Medical Education.

History of Queen's University

Queen's University at Kingston, commonly known as Queen's University or simply Queen's, is a public research university in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Queen's University is one of the public feature research universities in Ontario, Canada. The university was built on 16th October 1841. It was established as Queens college by the association of the Church of Scotland. In 1869, Queen's was the first Canadian university west of the Maritime provinces to admit women. In 1912, Queen's ended its affiliation with the Presbyterian Church, and adopted its present name. It was the first university to offer academic programs in commerce and business, conservation, physics, industrial, and many more. Its academically affiliation includes but is not limited to ACU,ATS, AUCC, CARL, CBIE, COU, CUSID and U15. As per QS World University Rankings, the university is placed at 240 in the year 2020 and between 251 - 300 as per THE University Rankings.
