Ryerson University is located in the centre of Toronto, the largest city in Canada. From the award-winning Student Learning Centre to the upcoming multi-functional Daphne Cockwell Health Sciences Complex, the university is dedicated to building a better campus, and city, one building at a time. The Ryerson Image Centre (RIC) on the main campus of the University is a research, teaching, and exhibiting facility dedicated to photography and associated media. The Campus appears to be a never-ending work of art. The university offers 60 undergraduate programs including foundation programs and over 40 graduate programmes.

History of Ryerson University

Following WWII, the need for qualified tradespeople prompted the establishment of the Ryerson Institute of Technology in 1948 in Canada. Around 250 students enrolled in Ryerson University's first year, which was built on the historic site of Ontario's first teacher training college known as the Toronto Normal School. The new school provided theoretical and practical training in a variety of skilled trades, including architecture, costume design, and photography. The Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board of the Canadian Council of Professional Engineers has certified the baccalaureate degree programmes in Aerospace, Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Industrial, and Mechanical Engineering. The university ranks between #801-1000 in the latest QS World University Rankings 2022 and THE World University Rankings 2022. Furthermore, the university also ranks #933 in U.S. News Best Global Universities Rankings 2022.
