Infrastructure, Campuses and Courses The University of Toronto has three locations: Downtown Toronto (St. George), Mississauga (to the west), and Scarborough (to the east). All three campuses offer accommodation to students with a housing/accommodation guarantee for first-year students. With some of the most famous architecture and beautiful green spaces in the greater Toronto and Mississauga area, U of T offers an exceptional environment to study and work. The campuses offer more than 800 student clubs, organizations and activities for their students. Toronto draws great businesses, restaurants, entertainment, and community events everywhere, making it a great place to live and study. With 44 libraries along with 158 librarians, it has the fourth-largest library system in North America. It is composed of 19.5 million physical holdings and over 6.2 million electronic holdings. The University of Toronto is internationally recognized for its high-quality education in various bachelor's, master's, and professional programs. The university offers more than 700 undergraduate and 200 graduate programs. A liberal arts education is the heart of the undergraduate curriculum at Toronto. The Faculty of Arts and Science has more students than any other faculty. The education of students for the professions has always been an important part of the University’s role, and the University accordingly maintains a wide range of professional faculties.



History of University Of Toronto

History, Affiliations, Rankings The University of Toronto or U of T, as it is known, is a public research university in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, located on the site surrounding Queen's Park. It is Canada's premier educational institution since its inception in 1827. It represents a historic edifice with over 100 years of discovery and knowledge creation. The University of Toronto, which began as King's College in 1827 and now has grown to be a huge and renowned institution. Scarborough and Erindale campuses, as well as the old St. George campus, are now home to the university. It is associated with various colleges and institutions and has federated with three minor universities on the St. George campus. There are 10 fully affiliated teaching hospitals in metropolitan Toronto. The University is also affiliated with the Association of American Universities, Association of Commonwealth Universities, Universities Canada, U15 Group of Canadian Research Universities and Universities Research Association. The 2022 edition of the Best Global Universities Rankings by US News & World Reports, which are focused on research performance, placed U of T first in Canada and 16th in the world – a position it shared this year with Princeton University and University College London. Furthermore, The University of Toronto was placed #=18, #22, and #26 internationally in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2022, Shanghai Ranking Academic Ranking of World Universities 2021, and QS World University Rankings 2022, respectively.
