It is known to be one of the largest higher education institutes offering bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees in a wide variety of disciplines. Yale offers admission based on a selective policy which is based on entrance exams conducted by the university and also takes into account previous academic records. In addition to its degree programmes, it also offers a number of exchange programmes, online courses and distance learning opportunities. The University has fourteen schools including the undergraduate liberal arts college, the Graduate school of Arts and Sciences and twelve professional schools. In addition to the 14 schools, Yale offers non-degree programs that are available for students with specific and defined educational goals.
History of Yale University
