About
The University of Adelaide has four campuses in total, three in South Australia and one in Melbourne i.e. North Terrace, Waite, Rose worthy, and Melbourne. The main campus of the University is North Terrace situated at the heart of Adelaide, the North Terrace campus is surrounded by the countries’ art gallery, museum, and library. Waite campus is situated about seven km from Adelaide. It is home to the internationally known Waite Research Institute. The campus is the most distinguished plant and agricultural research site in the South. Rose worthy campus is situated about 50 km to the north of the city. Melbourne campus is situated in the state of Victoria. Located on the western border of the city in Docklands. There’s high-end shopping, cinemas, and multi-purpose sports courts in the neighborhood of their Melbourne campus. The university provides a wide range of academic courses. It offers courses in the fields of Natural Sciences, Medicines, Engineering, and Social Sciences and is famous for its streams in Petroleum Engineering, Dentistry, and Veterinary Sciences.
History of The University Of Adelaide
The University of Adelaide was established in 1874 and is among the oldest universities in Australia. In 1876, the university provided its first program, Bachelor of Arts. In 1880 the University of Adelaide was the first Australian university to admit women as students and also, the first university to have a woman in University Council, Australia. The University of Adelaide had been accredited by Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accreditation and they are the only college in the world to receive ACEEU dual accreditation for being an Entrepreneurial and Engaged University. The University of Adelaide had been ranked 108th in QS World University Rankings 2022 and had been ranked 111th in Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2022.
