History of Leeds Trinity University

Established in 1966, Leeds Trinity University is a public institute. In 1980, Trinity College for women and All Saints College for men merged to form Trinity and All Saints College. In 2012, it achieved university status. The Leeds Trinity University has academic affiliations with Cathedrals Group and ACCU. Professor Margaret House OBE was appointed Vice-Chancellor in July 2012, and Gabby Logan, a Leeds native, was named Chancellor in 2013. More money was invested in the University, including the construction of All Saints' Court Halls of Residence in 2010 and Fountains Court in 2016, a new 3G Astroturf pitch, new Students' Union offices, the establishment of Leeds Children's University, and the formation of new international partnerships around the world. There was more research incentive, more Professors were hired, and research money increased.As per The Guardian - University Rankings, the university is placed at 117 in the year 2022 and 115 in the year 2021.
